Junior Technician

Position: Junior Technician
Location: Johannesburg (On-site)

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and hands-on Junior Technician to assist with the installation,
maintenance, and repair of security and automation systems, including access control,
CCTV, boom gates, LPR (License Plate Recognition), garage motors, gate motors, electric
fencing, and networking. The Junior Technician will report directly to a Senior Technician,
providing support on projects and gaining practical experience in the field.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with installation, configuration, and maintenance of:
  • Access control systems
  • CCTV systems
  • Boom gates and LPR systems
  • Garage and gate motors
  • Electric fencing
  • Networking solutions
• Support Senior Technician with daily project tasks and site preparation.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and assist with system repairs under supervision.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in good condition.
• Ensure accurate reporting of work completed and materials used.
• Follow all company procedures and safety regulations on worksites.
• Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally.

Requirements

• Matric (Grade 12) essential.
• Previous technical experience or training in electrical, security systems, or related fields advantageous.
• Willingness to learn and develop skills under guidance of a Senior Technician.
• Basic understanding of electrical systems and tools.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid driver’s license advantageous.
