Position: Bid Officer

About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bid Officer to coordinate and manage the
preparation of tender submissions, proposals, and bids. The Bid Officer will ensure that all
submissions are accurate, compliant, and delivered on time, supporting the company’s
growth through successful tendering and proposal processes. The ideal candidate will have
strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively
with multiple teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the end-to-end bid process, from identifying opportunities to submission.
- PReview tender requirements and prepare compliant bid documents.
- Coordinate with internal departments to gather technical, financial, and administrative information.
- Ensure all bids meet company standards and client specifications.
- Track deadlines and manage timelines to ensure timely submission of proposals.
- Maintain accurate records of all tenders and submissions.
- Conduct research on potential clients, competitors, and market opportunities.
- Support post-bid activities, including clarifications and presentations when required.
- Continuously improve bid templates, processes, and systems.
Requirements
- Matric (Grade 12) essential.
- Proven experience in tender preparation, submission, and compliance processes.
- Strong knowledge of bid management, tender portals, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
